Who are we?

At the Faculty of Psychology you'll meet people who study and work within psychology, health, education and global issues. We offer one master's degree in English — Global Development: Theory and Practice — and welcome 80–100 exchange students each semester. Welcome to the community!

Where are we?

The faculty is spread across the city. The main building is Christies gate 12 in the city centre — where most students have their day. We're also at the Alrek Health Cluster in Årstad and the BB-building near Haukeland, and our library is at Fosswinckels gate 14.

Your timetable shows where your own teaching takes place. Need help finding your way? See Find your way around UiB.

Some facts about the faculty

The Faculty of Psychology is one of seven faculties at UiB — the large academic divisions the university is organised into. We're around 2,550 students at the faculty, of about 20,000 at UiB.

Get involved in student life

There's a rich student community at the faculty. The Psychological Student Association (PSF) brings together around 26 groups — sports and hobby groups, a student-run bar, a social committee and several academic projects. Browse the groups on PSF's website and find one that fits you. You'll also get an introduction to the student organisations during your first weeks.
