Reading rooms at the Faculty of Psychology

On campus we have reading rooms open to all students at the Faculty of Psychology, and some appointed reading rooms for master students or students who are writing a thesis.

Reading rooms

Bjørn Christiansens hus, Christies gate 12

Ground floor

  • Who: All students at the Faculty of Psychology.
  • Opening hours: 0700-2300 hrs every day with a student card

First floor (rooms 201, 204, 209, 210, 211A, 211, 212, 213 and 214)

  • Who: All master students at the Faculty of Psychology.
  • Opening hours: 0700-2300 hrs every day with a student card

First floor (Rooms 202 and 203)

  • Who: Students who are writing a thesis in connection with psychology degrees
  • Opening hours: 0700-2300 hrs every day with a student card

Vektertorget, Christies Street 13

  • Who: Students taking a Master's degree in Education (full time and part-time), Child Protection and Welfare, Global Development Theory and Practice, and Health Promotion and Health Psychologi
  • Where: First floor (rooms 215, 216, 217, 218, 219, 220, 221, 222)
  • Opening hours: 0600 to 2300 hrs every day

Library for Social Sciences, Music and Psychology

Sydneshaugen School, Sydnesplass 9

  • Who: Students on one-year study programmes, Bachelor’s programmes and Professional Psychology degree programme students.
  • Where: Entrance from Ivar Aasens gate (entrance D). It is possible to use the open reading rooms in the builing. See the list of rooms at Sydneshaugen school
  • When: 0700 - 2200 hrs every day

Armauer Hansens Hus, Haukelandsveien 28

  • Who: Students taking a Master’s degree in psychology - specialising in Behaviour and Neuroscience and Speech Therapy, as well as Professional Psychology degree programme students on the following courses: PROPSY303 and PROPSY304 
  • Where: Reading rooms (rooms 107, 113, 122 and 124) and group rooms on the ground floor.
  • When: 0600-2300 hrs every day. Pedestrian bridge via Haukeland from the BB building

Building for Clinical Dentistry (ODO): 

  • Who: Students attending at the Faculty of Dentristy and master programmes in Child Protection and Welfare, Global Development Theory and Practice, Health Promotion and Health Psychology and Clinical Psychology.
  • When: Open everyday from 0600-2300. NB! Note that many of the reading spaces are reserved for dentistry students from 11.00 - 13.00.

 

Reading room regulations

All reading rooms at the UiB are subject to common reading room regulations. In addition, the Quality Committee for Education and Evaluation (KUE) has adopted additional rules to these regulations for the Faculty of Psychology.
