Why are Climate Change Lawsuits Controversial? Norway, the European Union, and the Democratic Challenge

In this popular science talk lecturer Esmeralda Colombo will visit the Law Library to debate on the dynamics and controversies of climate change litigation, with a focus on the most recent Norwegian and European scenarios.

Why are climate change lawsuits so controversial? How can we find a balance between law and politics? These are questions associate professor Esmeralda Colombo will try to answer, or at least discuss around, in this popular science talk at the Law Library. 

Esmeralda will offer snapshots and open the debate on the dynamics and controversies of climate change litigation, with a focus on the most recent Norwegian and European scenarios.

Everybody is welcome and there are no special knowledge needed to attend.
