Literature and information resources for Italian Studies

Main content

The library provides access to a large selection of books, dissertations, journal articles and other document types. You can find these most easily by searching in Oria. The hit lists contain both printed and electronic material. You can limit the hit list so that you only get full-text documents. It is also important to use other databases to find up-to-date, relevant information. You also get access to all this when you are off campus.

Arrangement of the books at the Humanities Library

The subject literature is arranged by Dewey number, where each subject and subject is given a numerical code, which determines the book's place on the shelf.

  • Italian linguistics with Dewey numbers 450 to 458 is located on the 2nd floor.
  • Italian Literature 850 to 858 is located on the 1st floor (book tower).
  • Italian fiction has the location codes S 21 and S 22, and is located on the 5th floor (book tower).
  • Older texts are marked with "H", and are located on the 4th floor (the book tower).
  • Magazines must be ordered in Oria.
