On 30 November, the Norwegian Citizen Lab was opened at the University of Bergen. The lab is open for researchers who want to test public attitudes to important issues in society.

Ida Blom has passed away (30.11.2016)

Professor emerita Ida Blom has passed away at age 85. Blom was a pioneer of women’s history studies and had a major influence on the rise of women’s history research in Norway, Scandinavia and internationally.

National algae plant opened (25.11.2016)

On Tuesday 22 November, Minister of Trade Monica Mæland officially opened the University of Bergen's new pilot project plant for growing of micro algae at the Technology Centre Mongstad, north of Bergen. The goal is to develop micro algae to use as feed in the aquaculture industry.

Young cancer survivors have twice the risk of suicide (25.11.2016)

Survivors of cancer diagnosed before the age of 25 had a more than two-fold increased risk of suicide compared to their non-cancer peers.
