After such a long time without being able to organize conferences in person, the European Association of Faculties of Pharmacy (EAFP) managed to organize its annual conference in Malta in May. The FREMFARM team was there of course.

A new research center at UiB will provide diabetes patients with more precise diagnoses and better treatment of the disease. "Most diabetes patients live good lives. But diagnosis and treatment can be better, and we wish to contribute to that", says center manager Pål R. Njølstad.

Friday June 10th, CCBIO and the Holberg Prize hosted a Special Seminar with the 2022 Holberg Laureate, Sheila Jasanoff (Harvard University) in conversation with Stephen Hilgartner (Cornell University). On Wednesday June 1st, Isa defended her PhD at the University of Oulu. The opponent was Professor Alf Månsson from the Linnaeus University, Kalmar, Sweden. We all could enjoy an interesting dialogue on myosins and motility, and Isa rocked all the way. Thanks to everyone involved and huge congratulations to Dr. Isa Pires!

In a solemn ceremony in the University Hall, the eight new honorary doctors at UiB were honored. They received the award for their outstanding work for science.
