The Art and Science of Improvisation (02.09.2014)
Welcome to an interdisciplinary research course at Stord in June 2015. The course is a collaboration between Grieg Research School, NAFOL (Nasjonal forskerskole for lærerutdanning) and Stord/Haugesund University College. The theme is improvisation.

New digital resources in philosophy from the Wittgenstein Archives (07.04.2014)
The Wittgenstein Archives at the University of Bergen (WAB) recently published more than 1,000 secondary resources for Wittgenstein scholars in the form of books, papers and audio-visual material online. All resources are available Open Access and are a result of WAB's participation in the EU-funded project AGORA: Scholarly Open Access Research in European Philosophy.

New perspectives on Chinese Studies in Bergen (07.03.2014)
- Many of the students have chosen Chinese studies from a strong personal interest, but they will have to think about job prospects as well, says the new associate professor of Chinese, Dr. Zhao Shouhui. He believes the relationship between Norway and China will grow closer in the future, and that the job market will benefit from this.

When the Norwegian Constitution was adopted in 1814 it represented a dramatic break from the absolute monarchy and aristocratic privilege of the past.
All visitors contibuted in singing Edvard Griegs "Pinsesalem", conducted by teacher Helge Haukås.

Earlier this autumn two new researchers were put to work on book fragments: Astrid Marner (Post-doc) and Synnøve Myking (PhD). Together with project leader Åslaug Ommundsen and the English paleographer Michael Gullick they will contribute to the knowledge about medieval book culture.
