I am postdoctoral researcher on a project analysing the politics of policies for low wage employment (“WAGEREG”), led by Professor Georg Picot, and funded by the FRIHUMSAM Young Research Talents scheme of the Research Council of Norway. My interests include comparative welfare state research, labour market policy and social policy. I obtained my PhD in Social Policy from the University of Bath in 2020, and an MSc in Social Policy from the London School of Economics in 2014. My doctoral thesis compared models of in-work benefits (tax and social benefits for working households) in European countries, and examined variation in policy design and expenditure through a socio-political lens. During my doctoral studies, I also carried out on public opinion, party politics and social policy reform. My previous employment includes research positions at the University of Bath, LSE and National Taiwan University.
