Seminar at Nordic Centre/Fudan University, 20 April 2018: WELFARE CHALLENGES: CHINESE AND NORWEGIAN OUTLOOKS (02.05.2018)
On the occasion of the visit of the Norwegian Education and Research Delegation, led by Minister Iselin Nybø, a seminar was organized by the University of Bergen, Fudan University/Nordic Centre , and SNoW. The seminar attracted an audience of about 80 Chinese and Norwegian scholars and students.

New post-doc tackles political inequality in post-communist countries (23.04.2018)
The Department of Comparative Politics' new post-doc, Trajche Panov, has been taking on several ambitious projects over the last years. For his post-doc term in Bergen, he wants to research political inequality in post-communist countries, both of which he sees as understudied.

CET contributes to United Nations SDG7 Policy Briefs (20.04.2018)
In July 2018, the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) at the UN headquarters in New York will review global progress on Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7). Over the past few months, CET has been among 50 organisations internationally that have provided inputs to this process, creating a set of policy briefs related to SDG7 and its interlinkages with other SDGs.
