I am a researcher on the CanCode-project. The project focuses on processes of canonization and codification of Islamic law: How does Islamic law Change? Canonization and Codification of Islamic Legal Texts. Prior to joining the University of Bergen, I was a postdoctoral research fellow at Lund University and the Max Planck Institute, as well as a senior lecturer at Oslo University.

The project is led by Stephan Guth (Oslo University) and Albrecht Hofheinz (Oslo University) and provides an ‘encyclopedia of 2016’ that enables users, in a snapshot portrait of one year, to ‘jump right into’ and move around (via cross-references) in post-revolutionary Arab realities.
